Path of Exile Item Upgrading
Players can upgrade their weapons and equipment with new attachments. They can also improve the base stats of the item or provide additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player has to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln.
Usually, items with weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a stronger base, whereas items with strong bases such as eth titans aren't affected in their stats following being upgraded.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools. They provide an attribute benefit, or additional effect, when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, or found in loot, thrown away by enemies or as rewards from missions or chests. Certain upgrades can also be equipped with special cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a specific level to upgrade.
To upgrade the quality of a weapon, armor or other item in the game, players will have to select it and then click on the Upgrade button in the toolbar. The screen will show on the right-hand side of the screen a preview of the expected upgrade stats as well as the necessary component or materials.
There are three kinds: universal upgrades (which include gems) Prefix upgrades and suffix upgrade components. Leveling
The upgrade system in Path of Exile has some significant differences from previous versions. Gear is now broken down into tracks, and items can only be upgraded a set number of times before they're "leveled out." To determine the height of a structure, engineers will employ an instrument to compare the measurement with a known reference point such as a benchmark or the ground's elevation. This process is known as a "level-loop." This involves taking readings using the level, backsighting rod, and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. Rerolling
